Panasonic S5 4k Crop. Slashcam News Panasonic LUMIX S5 introduced compact full format On my Panasonic S1 / S5 cameras, I use the Canon EF-S 10-18mm lens to provide a field of view similar to a 15-27mm lens on full frame The only cameras that can supersample a 6k or higher sensor down to 4K at 60p or better at a similar price point are the BMPCC6K (which is a 1.5x crop sensor), GH6 (which is a 2.0x crop), Z Cam E2 S6 (1.5x crop sensor).

But how come it can still only record 4K 60p in a Super35 crop? Why are we still putting up with this in 2023 in an apparently semi-pro video camera? My Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 would be absolutely perfect, but with the 1.5X crop it ends up being like 36-105mm, which is a bit too tight for when I'm up close to the athletes (really need to be as wide as around 20-30mm). Its maximum supported output is 5.9K RAW at 12-bit while using an external recorder, like the Atomos Ninja V out its HDMI.
